美国研发生物传感器 可对汗液实时检测

由约书亚·韦德米勒(Joshua Windmiller)和贾瑞德·谭格尼(Jared Tangney)创办的Electrozyme就是一家关注汗液数据分析的公司,该公司日前研制出一款内置生物传感器的腕带产品,它可以与用户的皮肤表面进行接触并能从其汗液中读取化学信息,然后展现出该用户的身体在剧烈运动后会出现怎样的反应。

据了解,Electrozyme所研发的这个生物传感器能够快速分析汗液中的化学成分,然后提供关于水合作用、体液损失和电解质平衡的实时反馈信息。韦德米勒近日在旧金山举办的“物联网峰会”上向大家展示了相关的技术,他表示他们目前正在与多家厂商进行洽谈,计划将该生物传感器集成到现有的健身追踪器及其它可穿戴设备中。

Electrozyme的目标是超越目前市面上的那些仅能够提供一些常规体征数据的可穿戴设备。“目前大部分可穿戴设备所测量到的体征数据都比较类似,如速度、心率和行走步数等,”韦德米勒说道,“而这些信息的局限性实际上是很强的。”

来看下这款生物传感器腕带的工作原理。其可以与第三方健身追踪器搭配使用,腕带被装载追踪器的背面,所以能够接触到佩戴者的皮肤,而嵌入式的电化学传感器将可以检测到汗液中的各种生物指标,包括电解质、钠、乳酸和蛋白质等等,进而得到用户身体状况的生物指标数据。同时,Electrozyme的算法软件可以对这些指标数据进行分析,然后为用户提供一些关于持续锻炼的个性化建议。

Electrozyme计划使用打印传感器技术来制造这个腕带,所以其制造成本非常低,且是一次性使用的。换句话说,在用户运动后看着被汗水浸湿的腕带觉得恶心的话,可以直接将其扔进垃圾桶里。

Electrozyme希望能在初始阶段通过该传感器告诉用户何时需要补充水分、需要喝多少以及是否应该去喝水还是喝运动饮料;同时它会在用户可能出现中暑情况的时候或者通过其它方式产生了过多的热量时发出预警;此外韦德米勒和谭格尼还正在围绕着预防用户出现抽筋情况而对该传感器进行改进。而在将来,他们还计划给产品加入更多的功能,除了现有的电解质平衡和脱水测量以外,未来还有望测量用户的肌肉疲劳、体力消耗水平、呼吸和皮肤pH值等更为详细的生物体征数据。

尽管韦德米勒和谭格尼在2012年创办了Electrozyme,但韦德米勒是在加州大学圣地亚哥分校的电气工程博士后,他在电化学传感器领域已经工作了四年有余。到目前为止,Electrozyme的传感器平台已经被上百个来自于《财富》100强的战略合作伙伴进行了现场试验。而根据这两位联合创始人的介绍,大部分参与者对于这个平台都非常感兴趣。

目前,他们计划将在2015年中期之前发放Electrozyme平台的许可接口,而整合了该传感器技术的设备将在2015年年底面世,而上述的腕带产品将只能与获得Electrozyme平台认可的设备进行连接。
