孕妇接受呼吸道合胞病毒融合蛋白疫苗可降低新生儿呼吸道合胞病毒相关下呼吸道感染风险

呼吸道合胞病毒(RSV)是婴幼儿严重下呼吸道感染的主要原因,重症患者多为低龄婴幼儿。近日研究人员考察了孕妇接受RSV融合(F)蛋白疫苗对新生儿RSV感染的预防作用。
 
怀孕28周0天到36周0天的健康孕妇参与研究,其预产期接近RSV流行季,随机接受单次肌肉注射RSV融合(F)蛋白纳米颗粒疫苗或安慰剂。对婴儿进行了180天的随访,以新生儿的下呼吸道感染风险。研究的主要终点是RSV相关的、医学上显著的下呼吸道感染。
 
共有4636名孕妇和4579名活产婴儿参与研究。在出生后的前90天,疫苗组和安慰剂组的RSV相关的、医学上显著的下呼吸道感染率分别为1.5%和2.4%(疫苗有效性为39.4%)。与RSV相关下呼吸道感染伴有严重低氧血症百分比分别为0.5%和1.0%(疫苗有效性为48.3%),与RSV相关下呼吸道感染住院率分别为2.1%和3.7%(疫苗有效性为44.4%)。疫苗组局部注射部位反应较安慰剂组更常见(40.7% vs 9.9%),其他不良事件发生率相似。
 
研究认为,孕妇接受呼吸道合胞病毒融合蛋白疫苗可降低新生儿呼吸道合胞病毒相关下呼吸道感染风险。
