近日,来自Norris Cotton癌症研究中心的研究人员通过研究表示,一种名为血浆分离置换法的简单采血过程或许对于体外血液成分提取中(ECP,Extracorporeal photopheresis)具有强大的治疗作用,而ECP是一种基于白细胞去除法的治疗步骤,早在1988年其就FDA批准用于治疗恶性的皮肤T细胞淋巴瘤,相关研究刊登于国际杂志Transfusion Medicine Reviews上。

文章中,研究者Ratcliffe表示,目前我们知道ECP疗法的功能不止一种,其不仅可以在自体反应设备中进行免疫着色,还可以在特殊状况下,比如淋巴瘤中帮助进行免疫抵御作用。这种策略不仅可以为未来进行免疫学研究提供基础的科学依据,而且还可以在骨髓移植及淋巴瘤过程中使得患者获益。

研究者表示,当前ECP用于治疗恶性皮肤T细胞淋巴瘤的患者或者机体移植后发生移植物抗宿主病的症状,而且目前该疗法在发挥作用及治疗病人过程中存在很多问题。本文中,以ECP为例,研究人员扩大了我们对免疫学基础知识的了解,同时也帮助临床医生们使其如何最好地使用ECP来治疗病人。

最后Ratcliffe说道,同其它已经出现的疗法一样,本文研究中我们提出的新型疗法或在癌症治疗上表现出巨大的潜力,相信通过后期更为深入的研究可以将该疗法更为广泛深入地用于治疗癌症患者。
