眼眶淋巴瘤约占眼附属器官淋巴瘤的50-60%。在过去的24年中(1994-2017),共报告了2211例已知亚型的眼眶淋巴瘤。绝大多数眼眶淋巴瘤起源于B细胞(97%),其中最常见的亚型是结外边缘区B细胞淋巴瘤(EMZL)(59%),其次是弥漫性B细胞淋巴瘤(DLBCL)( 23%)、滤泡性淋巴瘤(FL)(9%)和覆盖细胞淋巴瘤(MCL)(5%)等。眼眶淋巴瘤主要在老年人中发生。性别分布根据淋巴瘤亚型的不同而具有一定的差异。然而,EMZL(53%)和FL(75%)中,女性发病具有较高的概率,而DLBCL表现出相近的性别分布。 MCL在男性中具有较高的发病率,约占80%。组织病理学亚型和疾病的临床阶段是预后和患者治疗效果的最佳指标。低级别淋巴瘤,如EMZL和FL的预后较为良好,而高级别的淋巴瘤(DLBCL和MCL)的预后不良。

因此,作者最后指出,在治疗孤立性低度恶性淋巴瘤时,放疗是首选治疗方法。对于播散性和高度恶性淋巴瘤,应选择化疗,可以辅助放疗等。
