两项小型前瞻性研究报道呼吸道感染和胰岛自身免疫的发生有正相关。年轻糖尿病患者的环境决定因素研究（TEDDY）是对定期监测临床感染和胰岛自身抗体的1型糖尿病环境决定因素的最大的国际前瞻性国际队列研究。近日，国际杂志 《Diabetologia》上在线发表一项关于呼吸道感染与1型糖尿病自身免疫有关的TEDDY研究。目的是确认报告的呼吸道感染影响，并进一步描述与自身抗体血清学转换的时间关系。

两项小型前瞻性研究报道呼吸道感染和胰岛自身免疫的发生有正相关。年轻糖尿病患者的环境决定因素研究（TEDDY）是对定期监测临床感染和胰岛自身抗体的1型糖尿病环境决定因素的最大的国际前瞻性国际队列研究。近日，国际杂志 《Diabetologia》上在线发表一项关于呼吸道感染与1型糖尿病自身免疫有关的TEDDY研究。目的是确认报告的呼吸道感染影响，并进一步描述与自身抗体血清学转换的时间关系。 研究在2004-2009年间，对同时具有HLA基因型1型糖尿病增加风险的8676名的新生儿，从3个月开始随访至15年结束。在本研究中，在7869名儿童中评估3个月间隔至4岁父母报告的呼吸道感染与胰岛自身抗体的关系。采用时间依赖比例风险模型评估呼吸系统感染的时间如何与持续确认的胰岛细胞免疫有关，并将此定义为胰岛素自身抗体阳性，GAD和/或胰岛素抗原-2的自身抗体阳性，经连续两次随访并经两个以上参考实验室确认。 研究共记录了87,327例家长报告的呼吸道感染事件，这些儿童进行胰岛自身免疫研究监测，454例患儿进行血清转换。9个月内发生呼吸道感染的数量与随后的自身免疫风险相关（p  <0.00
