　　英国一项研究显示，全基因组测序有望快速、准确和全面确认医院和社区环境下耐甲氧西林金葡菌（MRSA）等细菌传播。论文11月14日在线发表于《柳叶刀感染病学》（Lancet Infect Dis）杂志。

　　研究者评估了一间婴儿特护病房（SCBU）内可疑发生的MRSA暴发感染，并利用全基因组测序对感染控制小组通过传统流行病学资料和抗菌谱分析得出的结果进行验证和扩展。研究者对SCBU内所有定植患者分离株以及与暴发株系药敏谱相似的医院和社区患者MRSA分离株进行测序分析。

　　结果为，在6个月内，感染控制小组共确认可疑关联MRSA定植患儿12例，但通过传统方法无法证实存在持续感染。通过全基因组测序共确认26例相关病例携带MRSA，并提示在SCBU内部、产后病房的母亲中间及社区中出现传播。该MRSA暴发型为包括编码Panton-Valentine 杀白细胞素基因的新序列型ST2371。全基因测序亦提出并证实为一名医务人员携带MRSA使暴发感染转为持续感染。
