由此可见，高比例的间质是胃腺癌肠道和弥漫性组织学亚型的独立预后因素。

肿瘤微环境，包括肿瘤间质比（TSR），可能有助于识别高危癌症患者。然而，TSR在胃癌中的意义尚不清楚，特别是在肠道和弥漫性亚型中。近日，肿瘤领域权威杂志British Journal of Cancer上发表了一篇研究文章，该研究的目的是研究胃腺癌及其肠道和弥漫性组织学亚型中TSR与预后之间的关系。

该回顾性队列研究纳入了1983-2016年期间在奥卢大学医院接受手术的583名胃腺癌患者。研究人员从最初用于诊断目的的病理切片中分析TSR。将患者分为间质较少（≤50％间质）和间质丰富（>50％间质）的组别，并分析TSR与5年死亡率和总死亡率之间的关系。

与间质较少的肿瘤患者相比，富含间质的肿瘤患者5年预后较差（HR为1.80,95％CI为1.41-2.28）。分层分析显示与间质较少的肿瘤患者相比，富含间质的肠道肿瘤患者（HR为1.68,95％CI为1.24-2.27）和弥漫性组织学类型肿瘤患者（HR为2.09,95％CI为1.35-3.23）5年预后较差。

由此可见，高比例的间质是胃腺癌肠道和弥漫性组织学亚型的独立预后因素。
