　　嗜铬粒蛋白A衍生多肽catestatin可作为内源性烟碱胆碱能拮抗剂抑制儿茶酚胺释放，从而在嗜铬粒蛋白靶向消融的情况下治疗高血压。此项研究合成了catestatin异构体，其中包括正常/野生型以及R-I型；后者同时存在偏光性（L→D氨基酸）和顺序（羧基→氨基）反转。

　　结果显示，R-I肽可完全抵抗蛋白水解消化，效果增强，并且保存了针对烟碱胆碱能事件的特定作用，其中包括儿茶酚胺分泌、激动剂脱敏、分泌性蛋白转录和阳离子信号传导。结构性模型提示野生型和R-I型具有相似的侧链定向。在小鼠模型体内实验中R-I肽可降低血压并且效应延长。
