　　既往研究表明，睡眠障碍和个体的睡眠不佳主诉与2型糖尿病危险升高有关。但非2型糖尿病患者的胰岛素抵抗和胰岛素分泌证据缺乏。研究者对年龄为18~75岁的男女两个性别共796例受试者进行了口服葡萄糖耐量（OGTT）、空腹胰岛素和空腹血糖测定。受试者自我计算基础北欧睡眠调查问卷中因睡眠呼吸暂停、焦虑和日间嗜睡相关的睡眠主诉。

　　与无或少睡眠主诉者相比，频繁主诉睡眠呼吸暂停、焦虑和日间嗜睡者有更多发生胰岛素抵抗，其空腹胰岛素水平和OGTT胰岛素及葡萄糖反应更高，且更多发生稳态模型评估的胰岛素抵抗和胰岛素敏感性指数值低。胰岛素抵抗随着睡眠主诉的增加而线性显著增加。校正中间混杂因素后上述相关性仅发生微小改变。睡眠主诉与胰岛素分泌不足不相关。
