本研究旨在使用成分PCA描述5岁儿童肠道微生物群的主要成分(PC),并探索微生物群成分、饮食和BMI z-score之间的关联。319名5岁儿童提供了粪便样本,他们的主要照顾者完成了有效的123个项目的定量FFQ。使用DXA测定身体成分,并计算BMI z-score。组成PCA确定了特征分类群和权重,用于计算属级的肠道微生物群PC分数,并对其与饮食和体型的关系进行了研究。

 

结果,研究人员发现了三种肠道微生物群PC。PC1(未培养的克里斯滕氏菌科和瘤胃菌科植物的负负荷)与较低的BMI z-scores和较长的母乳喂养时间(每月)有关(分别为β=-0.14;95% CI:-0.26,-0.02;和β=0.02;95% CI:0.003,0.34)。PC2(在镰刀形杆菌和双歧杆菌上呈正负载;在拟杆菌属上呈负负荷)与较低的坚果、种子和豆类摄入量相关(β = -0.05/克;95% CI:-0.09,-0.01)。当校正纤维摄入量时,PC2也与较高的BMI z-scores相关(β = 0.12;95% CI:0.01,0.24)。PC3(费氏杆菌,真细菌和玫瑰菌的正负荷)与更高的纤维摄入量(β = 0.02/克;95% CI:0.003,0.04)和总非淀粉多糖(β = 0.02/克;95% CI:0.003,0.04)相关。
